COOL & DEADLY DIGITAL

A night celebrating the most soulful and funky sounds from Jamaica
featuring reggae, dub and dancehall
with DJ Rikshaw

Doors open @ 10pm

DJ Rikshaw:
Chicago dancehall doesn't get the kind of exhaustive exposure that the local house and hip-hop communities do, but that doesn't mean fans of the genre are any less dedicated. Case in point: DJ Rikshaw, founder of the infamous Deadly Dragon Sound System, who has promoted reggae and dub in the city for a number of years, championed the styles long before it was fashionable to do so. Now, with this well-respected residency at Sonotheque, a loyal following of committed dancehallers turn Sunday night into one of the most unique and reliable parties in the city. Expect fractured riddims, drink specials, and surprise guest DJs.
