Blxst Releases “Be Forreal” Music Video – VIBE.com

Blxst released the music video for their song “Be Forreal” from their latest release Before you leave. Directed by madebyJAMES, the visual finds the Los Angeles singer spoiling her love with lavish gifts until one day she wakes up alone. From a fancy car to an expensive shopping spree, Blxst and the woman are portrayed as happy and in love until the tone changes. His song, “Fake Love In LA,” begins as he boards a private jet, looks back, and shakes his head.

According to a press release, the “Be Forreal” music video is the next installment in the visual storyline established by “Every Good Girl” and “Never Was Wrong.”

Speaking to VIBE ahead of the release of his debut album, the musician shared how the project was a “self-care journey” on “owning who I am, I think that’s a common theme.”

Blxst is currently nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist at the 2022 BET Awards and was featured on Kendrick Lamar’s anticipated album Mr. Morale and Big Steps on the track “Die Hard”. He is set to begin a world tour this summer, which will kick off in San Diego and travel across the United States as well as Europe and Australia.
