Madonna Praises Kendrick Lamar’s Latest Album, ‘It’s Insane’

Madonna, the longtime Queen of Pop, is constantly evolving in her craft.

Most recently, the iconic singer was featured on a new remix of Beyoncé’s song “Break My Soul” titled “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)”. And, continuing in the realm of remixes, Madonna is gearing up to release the complete 50-track edition of her remix album, Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones. Release will mark Madonna’s unprecedented milestone of achieving 50 number one songs in the US Billboard Dance club song chart. The abridged 16-track version of this disc was released on June 24.

In support of the release of her new album, Madonna chatted with talk show host Jimmy Fallon about almost everything under the sun. she chatted Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Oneswhen she first saw people dancing to her music, buying herself a new birthday grillz and all the artists who continue to inspire her.

When asked if there were any artists she would still like to collaborate with, Madonna was quick to respond.

“There’s one artist that I revere more than anything in life, and I’d love to collaborate with him, and that’s Kendrick Lamar,” she told Fallon. “His new record [‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’] makes history. Incredibly brilliant, it’s crazy.

In other Madonna news, the singer recently set foot on the subject of her back catalog. In a recent interview, she explained why she would never sell the rights to her music. “Because these are my songs,” she said. “Property is everything, isn’t it?”

In a similar vein, Madonna revealed that she will be directing her own upcoming biopic to prevent “misogynistic men” from doing it for her. “I had an extraordinary life, I have to make an extraordinary film. It was also a preemptive strike because a lot of people were trying to make movies about me. Especially misogynistic men. So I stepped in the door and said, ‘Nobody’s going to tell my story but me,'” she said.
