Roddy Ricch deactivates social media accounts after fans criticize song

Roddy Rich seems to have moved away from social networks.

The Grammy-winning rapper took to Instagram on Saturday to share a snippet of an unreleased track called “Out of My Mind.” As pointed out XXLthe audio featured Roddy handling the chorus, in which he sings, “I’ve been low, I’ve been high / I’ve been out of my body, out of my mind / When you take my soul, take your time.”

Although fans were eager to hear a new solo track from the Compton rapper, many weren’t happy with what Roddy had in mind. Several influencers and media personalities reposted the clip on their respective social media accounts, where fans expressed their disappointment and made statements about Roddy’s “downfall”.

“Not horrible but needs work,” one user wrote on No Jumper’s post. “I hate to see an artist like him come down the hill.”

“We don’t need this on God,” another commented, “keep it, I’m fine.”

“It’s safe to say that Roddy Ricch exploded before we could see his true potential,” one added.

Hours after sharing the snippet, Roddy took to Instagram again to acknowledge some of the backlash he received.

“I guess I’m a flop now [peace sign emoji]“, he writes in a store. “Crazy shit.”

The rapper’s Instagram and Twitter accounts were deactivated shortly thereafter.

Since then, a growing number of Twitter users have expressed their support for Roddy while condemning those who have criticized his new work.

Roddy previously announced that he has big plans for 2022, including the release of his highly anticipated mixtape. Feeding the streets III. The effort was to be his first full project since last year Live life fast.
