Vory released their first studio album, lost souls.
The Grammy-winning artist began teasing the project in the summer of 2021, under the original title lost angels. Since then, Vory has expanded the album from eight to 17 tracks, including the previously released single “Do Not Disturb”, featuring Yung Bleu and Nav; as good as Kanye West– “Daylight” assisted. Vory spoke about this latest cut during a recent with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, confirming that the song was originally intended for Ye’s 2021. donda album.
“We had probably done six records… ‘Daylight’ was just one that didn’t really make the cut,” Rory said. “But everyone loved it. We just didn’t know where to put it. Pusha-T kept telling me about it, saying it was one of his favorite records. I hit Ye and I was like, ‘Yo, we gotta do something with this record,’ and he was like, ‘Yo, put it on your album.’ »
Vory and Ye previously bonded on “Jonah,” “God Breathed.” and “No Child Left Behind” from dondaas well as “Lord Lift Me Up” on 2022 2.
“I just feel like we work so well together,” Vory told Lowe of Ye. “I understand his creativity and he understands my creativity. He’ll think something and I’ll finish his thought before he’s even finished thinking it.
