Artist Prakash Upadhyay from Haldwani has done wonders to put his name in the world record books by crafting a unique guitar. Prakash Upadhyay lit up the name of the whole city as well as the whole of Uttarakhand. Its entry into the Limca Book of World Records is the pride of residents across the state.
This is not the first time that Prakash Upadhyay has created something that grabs attention. He already has plenty of accomplishments under his belt when it comes to making the smallest versions of things you wouldn’t expect to witness. But he continues to invent one after another. He created the smallest book in the world with his unique talent, as well as the smallest Hanuman Chalisa. In addition, the record for the manufacture of the smallest spinning wheel, pencil and sea vessel in the world also belongs to him. And now Prakash Upadhyay has once again appeared in the Limca Book of World Records by making a guitar of only three centimeters.
Not only did Upadhyay, working as an (artist) at Government Medical College in Haldwani, create the smallest guitar in the world, but the device actually works and is not just a toy.
This is Upadhyay’s seventh personal world record with the working model of a guitar just 3cm long. The artist used pure sandalwood, copper, aluminum strings and pins to create a unique masterpiece. The music generated by the strumming of this guitar can be heard very well through the microphone. This guitar was made in just 4 hours 30 minutes on April 29, 2022 and this wonder was recorded in the “Limca Book of Records” (2021-22).
Limca’s book gave this recording pride of place on the back cover of his book and a certificate was provided to Prakash. Apart from this record, 6 individual and three collective world records (Guinness Book of World Records) are recorded in the name of Prakash Upadhyay.
